Terms of use
These terms govern use of the Edwards Landscape & Construction website. The short version: the information here is published in good faith and kept current, but it is general information rather than professional advice, prices shown are ranges rather than offers, and nothing on this site forms a contract. A contract exists only when a written quote is signed.
Regulatory information on this site is general, not advice
This is the most important thing on the page, because these pages carry a lot of specific detail.
The service area pages publish municipal and provincial requirements: permit thresholds, shoreline setbacks, vegetative buffer widths, septic clearances, conservation authority jurisdictions and similar. That material was researched from municipal, provincial and conservation authority sources and was accurate to the best of our knowledge on the date shown at the top of each page.
It is published to help you understand what a project involves. It is not legal, engineering or planning advice, and it must not be relied on as the final word. By-laws are amended, official plans are updated, jurisdictional boundaries change, and a rule that applies to one lot may not apply to the one next door. Before relying on any figure on this site, confirm it with the relevant authority: the municipality's building department, the conservation authority, or the province. Where a project needs an engineered design, that determination is made by a qualified engineer, not by this website.
Edwards Landscape & Construction accepts no liability for decisions made solely on the basis of information published here without that confirmation.
Prices are ranges, not quotes
Every price on this site is a range, published so you can judge whether a project is in a realistic bracket before you get in touch. Ranges are not offers and are not binding.
An actual price comes from a written quote issued after an on-site visit, because ground conditions, access, and in many areas the location of a septic bed determine a large part of what a project costs. A quote is valid for the period stated on it. A contract comes into existence when a written quote is accepted in writing, not when a form is submitted or a range is read on a web page.
Using the quote form
- Submitting the form is a request for contact. It does not create a contract, reserve a place in the schedule, or oblige either side to proceed.
- Please provide accurate contact details. A quote cannot be given on a property that cannot be identified or visited.
- Do not use the form to send confidential or sensitive personal information. It is for project enquiries.
- Automated, bulk or abusive submissions are filtered and discarded.
- How enquiry information is handled is set out in the privacy policy.
The warranty
Edwards Landscape & Construction provides a 3-year workmanship warranty on completed work. It covers workmanship. It does not cover normal wear, damage caused by others, movement resulting from conditions outside the scope of the work performed, alterations made by anyone else, or failure to maintain the work as advised. Manufactured products such as pavers, blocks and fixtures carry their own manufacturer warranties, which pass to the property owner. Full warranty terms are set out in the written quote and are what govern in the event of any inconsistency with this page.
Photographs and reviews
Project photographs on this site show work completed by Edwards Landscape & Construction. They illustrate the standard and type of work rather than a guarantee that any given project will look the same, since every property is different. Reviews quoted on this site are genuine customer reviews published on Google, reproduced with the reviewer's name as it appears publicly.
Intellectual property
The text, photographs, diagrams and design of this website belong to Edwards Landscape & Construction or are used with permission. You are welcome to read, print and share pages for your own purposes, and to link to them. Republishing the content elsewhere, in whole or in substantial part, is not permitted without written consent.
Links to other sites
Where this site refers to a municipality, a conservation authority, a provincial body or another organisation, it does so for your convenience. Edwards Landscape & Construction does not control those sites and is not responsible for their content or accuracy.
Availability
This site is provided as it is. Reasonable effort goes into keeping it available and correct, but no guarantee is made that it will be uninterrupted or error free. If the quote form fails, the page will say so and give you a phone number rather than pretend the message was sent.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the laws of Canada that apply in it. Any dispute falls to the courts of Ontario.
